GreenHost Online Meeting: Final Preparations for Ancona Workshop Completed

On June 12, 2025, the GreenHost consortium held a two-hour virtual project meeting with a clear focus: finalizing the agenda and logistics for the upcoming international workshop in Ancona, Italy, taking place from July 7 to 9, 2025.

After updates on the latest project activities – including the presentation of guest survey results by Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile (FTS) and the overview of the Good Practices Collection by FHM – the core of the meeting was dedicated to fine-tuning the three-day programme at the Università Politecnica delle Marche. Partners agreed on the inclusion of more discussion elements, clarified their roles in the workshop sessions, and confirmed pre-workshop tasks, travel arrangements, and registration procedures for the associated Skillman conference.

The Ancona workshop marks a major milestone in the GreenHost project, which aims to drive sustainable transformation in the lodging sector. The agenda includes a mix of hands-on knowledge exchange and co-creation activities, ranging from green workplace habits and sustainability practices in the hospitality sector to interactive sessions on gamification and digital education. Workshops will cover design thinking processes, persona development, task creation, and the collaborative design of game-based learning content. On the final day, participants will explore synergies with other European initiatives and engage in a joint session with the Skillman network.

The partners are looking forward to three days of dynamic collaboration, inspiration, and joint progress toward practical solutions for sustainability in the daily operations of the lodging industry.
